In its commitment to society and the environment, Magnesitas Navarras is implementing a strong Corporate Social Responsibility policy through social and economic support, provided in Navarra as a whole and in the specific areas in which it operates.
The company constantly remains in contact with stakeholders, providing direct and transparent information and heeding any recommendations for improvement that are applicable to its business activity.
On an ongoing basis, the company is making an important personal and financial contribution, actively collaborating in a number of cultural, social and sports projects and activities.
Principally, the company stands out as:
- The driving force of economic growth and the social backbone of the valleys of Esteríbar, Erro and Baztan.
- A generator of quality employment in Navarra, principally in the localities in which it operates.
- Collaborator in local and regional social, cultural and sports projects and initiatives.
- Investigator with public institutions, universities and technology centres.
Principal activities at the service of the community
- Collaboration agreement with the Council of Eugi (financial contribution for the Royal Arms Factory at Eugi and the Olondo historical reference centre).
- Ongoing collaboration in cultural, social and festival activities in the localities of Zubiri, Eugi, Erro in Navarra and Borobia in Soria.
- Support for sports activities for boys and girls in the Valleys of Erro and Esteribar.
- From 2006 onwards, sponsorship of Remonte, a sport originating in Navarra, boasting a history that stretches back more than 110 years.
- From 2011 onwards, sponsorship of five-a-side football and of a club as iconic as Osasuna Magna, founded in the locality of Irurzun.
- From 2007 onwards, sponsorship of the Roncesvalles-Zubiri race, directed at bringing sport, tradition, culture, nature and tourism together.
- Sponsorship of the Zubiri-Pamplona Half Marathon, promoting sport and a healthy lifestyle.
- Organisation and collaboration at workshops, exhibitions, congresses and forums, promoting scientific dissemination and knowledge in order to contribute to the shaping of an advanced and educated society.
