This scientific outreach exhibition can be visited at the Planetarium of Pamplona until 11th December.

Together with Geoalcali, the sponsoring company, and the Geological & Mining Institute of Spain, Magnesitas Navarras is taking part in the exhibition on “The essential minerals for a sustainable future”, which has been inaugurated in the Planetarium of Pamplona. The exhibition, which will remain open until 11th December, aims to contribute to the dissemination, training and understanding of industrial minerals, their uses and applications in everyday life.

During the presentation day, attended by almost 200 persons, didactic workshops were also organised, directed at pupils from schools in Navarra. The morning ended with the conference on “Industrial minerals in our daily lives”, given by Manuel Regueiro, the Head of Institutional Relations and Communication at the Geological & Mining Institute of Spain.

On behalf of Magnesitas Navarras, Jorge Baños, the assistant general manager, emphasised the value of this initiative that offers schools, families, society and the general public, science and knowledge on a little known material: minerals. Furthermore, he reminded the close on 120 young students present, that “they are the future of this Community” and that, in this future, “training in technical and scientific disciplines is essential”.
