The Teacher Center has opened the registration period in the course “Mining, its role in society and its relationship with the environment” in which MAGNA participates.
This action comes from the working group on mining in which the Government of Navarra and the main regional bodies and companies of the mining sector collaborate.
On behalf of MAGNA, the mining director, Alberto Josa will be in charge of giving the workshops and explaining the operation and process of a mining deposit, the functions developed by professional teams, as well as restoration plans and measures adopted to prevent and minimize environmental impact.
The programmed activities are aimed at teachers of Secondary, High School and Vocational Training in the fields of Biology, Geology, Geography and History, Technology, Scientific Culture, Earth and Environmental Sciences. In the course, with a total of 9 hours, in addition to MAGNA, Manuel Regueiro, head of External Relations of the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain (IGME), and twice president of the European Federation of Geologists (FEG) will participate and experts from other organizations.
